Awareness: CBD in Pet Food

The New Mexico Department of Agriculture’s Feed, Seed, and Fertilizer Section regulates commercial animal feed, including livestock feed, poultry feed, fish feed and pet food at the state level. At this time, federal or state regulations do not allow any CBD or hemp products in animal feed, because the safety of these ingredients has not been proven. Remember to read the label before you feed. To learn more, visit nmda.nmsu.edu/fsf.
