*Disclaimer* I do not mean to disregard any measures made the be airlines, please be sure to check with specific airlines about the guidelines and do not bring your dog on a plane if it’s going to be uncomfortable for your dog or break any of the airline’s set rules. Dogs over 30lbs will not fit in a carrier comfortably.
This video is all about how you can fly with your dog in-cabin as a non ESA. ESAs were banned in January 2021 by most major US airlines, but Pets CAN fly in cabin with you if they fit comfortably in a carrier. They just have to meet certain requirements, for example, carriers must be no larger than 18.5” long x 8.5” high x 13.5” wide (southwest). There are no weight requirements but the dog or cat must fit in the carrier comfortably. This video details my experience bringing my corgi on the plane with me, in a pet carrier.
If you have any more questions about flying with your pets, please ask me in the comments. I would love to answer them! I don’t know anything specifically about Service Animals as I have not had one.
